Using the creative process for therapeutic purposes
Art therapy consists of using the creative process for therapeutic purposes, it uses artistic methods (drawing, painting, collage, sculpture etc).
Goals and objectives of art-therapy:
  • Psychotherapy support for children with difficulty expressing what they feel through speech
  • Relief of pain and motor problems
  • Stimulation of the imagination for a creative gesture which uses body movement
  • Creative expression fosters healing and mental well-being
The sessions are given by art therapists (psychologists) from the foundation to :
  • Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders
  • Children with Down syndrome and other genetic diseases
  • Little and young patients suffering from cancer
